The Coherence Metric

T = formative / containing = | e × v | / | B × ω |
e motive couplingv transport velocity B containing fieldω rate of containment
T > 1
excess formative

Differentiation outruns containment. The structure diffuses and lets go.

T ≈ 1
impedance matched

Formative and containing stand in proportion. Vorticity, geometry, and stabilized pattern emerge as the signature.

T < 1
excess containment

Containment outruns differentiation. The structure rigidifies and locks.

In the lattice the numerator lives in the formative cells — 39, 69, 99, 96 — and the denominator in the containing cells — 36, 33, 63, 93. 66 is the impedance match, T ≈ 1, where the two stand in proportion. Every pair through the center is a formative↔containing inversion across that match: the conjugate axes 39·93 and 99·33, and the reciprocal diagonals 69·63 and 36·96. The two bright operators are those principles in motion — e formative, B containing — and the instant they phase-lock together at 66, the flip, is the metric reading T ≈ 1 made visible. The counter-rotation that persists around the still-point is the vorticity the metric names as coherence's signature: the orbit holds because e and B keep re-matching at the center each cycle. Toggle T-Field to shade the formative pole warm and the containing pole cool around the match.
